Spa Day in Italy

Overlooking the Tuscan hillsides, we sink into the warmth of the thermal springs

On this year’s September trip I couldn’t wait for Spa Day. And here we are. We dip in. We soak. We swim. One thing I love about these trips is planning all the details, and this day is the most nurturing one of all.

The herbal teas, luxuriating, deep rejuvenation. The sky is bright blue and the water green. Soaking in the warmth of the healing waters, getting a massage, and  lounging under the Tuscan sun surrounded by the waterfall and pools.

Italy is a country that has so much to offer. Seventy percent of the world’s art exists in Italy. There are mountains, oceans, beaches, luscious food, vineyards,  and olive groves.  When I lead the Italy Retreat for Women, we get to taste many of these  flavors of Italy in our 12 days.

It’s fun to think that we are enjoying the same natural thermal waters that the Etruscans loved thousands of years ago in Italy around 400 BC.  The water is warm here, but not hot, around 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit).

Wherever you may be, I encourage you to restore yourselves in whatever ways you have available to you. You deserve to create a spa day!
